We’ve talked about conversion-focused web development and why we take this approach in our work. In this episode, we take a look at how we implement this approach, and the process we follow with a client once they have given us the go-ahead to build their website.
Web development is not a simple process; there are many different parts up in the air at the same time. One of our strengths at CIPR, with web design and our other services, is that we have set up specific procedures to follow to ensure that the project gets done well, on time and under budget.
Having a proper process in place enables us to draw some clear lines with regard to scope, budget and timelines. Christina is always amazed when someone tells her that they’ve been working on a website build for two years! There really is no need for that. The reason that this happens is probably that the clients in question are dealing with web designers working from a more open-ended, creative-focused perspective. With us, our conversion-focused approach is accompanied by a project management-oriented process. More than that though, at CIPR, the person project managing your build is actually knowledgeable about design and development, which is not always the case with other agencies. This creates a steady flow of information and feedback among all the different people involved, which helps the project get done faster, more efficiently and with a result that is in line with the client’s needs.
