Does Your Company Have What it

Takes to Succeed In Today's Digital Marketing Environment?

Take CIPR’s new Digital Marketing Foundation Self-Assessment to Find Out!

Alright, so we’ve been obsessing a bit lately with trying to understand what it takes for companies to find digital marketing bliss, and while we always knew the answers intuitively, we’ve now created a comprehensive tool to help us, our clients, and our prospects to assess whether they have the needed foundations in place to succeed.

So, here’s the reality – it’s not one thing – it's many things, and they all need to work together for digital marketing to reach its full potential at your company.

To this end, we have created the Digital Marketing Foundation Self-Assessment. The assessment is broken into sections that mirror our Digital Marketing Blueprint, including SMART Goals; Buyer Personas; Competitive Environment; Content Marketing; Technical Website Performance; Website Economic Value and Conversion Optimization; and Digital Marketing Tactics. We also have a series of questions related to budgets, decision-making processes, and structures, senior leadership involvement, as well as attitudes and beliefs related to digital marketing.

The self-assessment is qualitative, meaning that it asks people to rank, on a scale of 1-10, how they "feel about" these topics within the context of their company. The assessment can be completed by multiple people within an organization, giving your team an objective way to determine how different members of your team perceive digital marketing in general, as well as the individual components required to achieve digital marketing success. We will also be collecting aggregate data on an industry level so that individuals and companies who take the assessment can see how they stack up against their industry peers.

Doubling Down on Content Marketing

at CIPR Communications

“Content marketing is the only marketing left” – Seth Godin

While content marketing has always been an important part of CIPR Communications’ approach, this fall, we decided to double down by creating a new content department and hiring new staff to serve our clients’ content marketing needs better than ever.

On October 1st, Brad Stables was promoted to Communications and Content Director, where he is responsible for overseeing the content department. To support Brad, Shevaun Boddez has joined CIPR as CIPR’s new Public Relations and Communications Manager, and Brittany Ling has taken on the role of Social Media and Creative Specialist. Both Shevaun and Brittany are experienced professionals in their respective disciplines, and both come to CIPR with long-standing personal and professional relationships with Peter and Christina.

Shevaun brings extensive public relations, content writing, editing, organization, and project management skills to the agency. Her experience as a writer, editor, and communications professional at the Government of Alberta, the Office of the Premier, and Caucus Communications brings a unique skillset to CIPR and its clients. Coupled with over a decade of experience as a freelance communications professional, Shevaun is a huge asset to the content team.

Brittany joins CIPR with a strong graphic design and social media management background, and she's been able to hit the ground running since she has been working with CIPR and many of our clients already as one of our contract graphic designers. Brittany has extensive experience as a freelance graphic designer and has worked with hundreds of clients across various industries for over a decade.

Brad, Shevaun, and Brittany will work together to serve the growing content marketing needs of our clients in partnership with CIPR’s extensive network of content contractors and partners.

CIPR has already begun implementing new processes to enhance our ability to improve content creation for our clients, including content workshops for all retainer clients and clients with higher content marketing needs. We will continue enhancing our content marketing systems, processes, and offerings over the coming months, and we look forward to client feedback to ensure that we are hitting the mark!

If you would like to learn more about our new content department, provide feedback or inquire about our content marketing services, feel free to schedule a meeting with Peter:

CIPR Wins Two WebAwards in 2021 For Website Development in Collaboration with Indigenous Clients in the Tourism Sector

Congratulations to Quaaout Lodge and Spa at Talking Rock Golf Course and Métis Crossing for this great achievement!

CIPR Communications was thrilled to learn that two of its submissions into the 2021 WebAwards for outstanding achievement in website development were selected as winners of the annual global competition. The WebAwards is the premium award recognition program for web developers and advertising agencies. Their annual competition is dedicated to naming the best websites in 96 industries while setting the standards of excellence for all website development.

CIPR and the team at Quaaout Lodge and Spa at Talking Rock Golf Course won the Outstanding Website Award, while CIPR and the team at Métis Crossing won the Education Standard of Excellence Award. Both awards are a testament to the hard work that went into creating these amazing websites – and the CIPR Communications team wants to thank both of these clients for their commitment to these website development projects.

Building a website can be a time-consuming, detail-oriented, and difficult project, and both of these websites include various features and plugins that added to their complexity. The team at CIPR Communications is proud to have won these awards, and we know that this achievement would not have been possible without the serious effort and dedication of our clients.

We plan to submit websites built with clients this year in next Fall’s WebAwards, and we are confident that there are more awards to come!

CIPR Becomes a HubSpot

Certified Agency Partner!

Starting in January 2022, we will be offering services through HubSpot to new and current clients.

With content and inbound marketing on the rise across all industries, CIPR Communications has decided to join the HubSpot Partner Program to serve our clients better. HubSpot is a CRM platform that has all the tools and integrations you need for marketing, sales, content management, and customer service. Each product in the HubSpot platform is powerful along, but the real magic happened when you use them all together.

CIPR Communications joined the Hubspot community in September and we have been going through the training and certifications necessary for us to be able to offer HubSpot services to our clients. We have also been learning HubSpot on ourselves and integrating the tool into our operations, which is something we typically do with new tools, and we will be spending the remaining months of 2021 deepening our knowledge and experience in the tools so that we can be ready to offer it to clients and prospect in January 2022.

HubSpot is not for every company, and we're not planning to transition clients to HubSpot unless it’s a great solution for your business, but we do encourage all clients to learn about how this powerful tool can be integrated to help you achieve better overall business results!

Stay tuned for more information about Hubspot integration in the coming months. If you are interested in learning more about HubSpot and how it can help your company sooner, we would be happy to set up a demo, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
